Saurabh Chattopadhyay is currently spearheading the Product & Solution Engineering activities for STL’s Programmable FTTx portfolio. He has 20+ years of experience, has been driving Telecom aligned Innovation Centers and Research & Development activities in various technology areas. In his previous role at one of the top 5 Global Engineering Service Providers, he was responsible for developing next generation engineering strategy to augment software defined service delivery capabilities for OEMs, Platform Vendors and Service Provider customers. Prior to that, Saurabh had contributed to niche research & development work in two other engineering organizations. He has been contributing to the development of Next Generation Technology Specifications at IETF, ONF and ETSI, inventor of multiple patents, and has been evangelizing value propositions in global forums across diverse technology areas.

Amit is Senior Technical Manager at Sterlite focused on SDN Controller based solutions. In this role, he leads development for technologies like Multi-Access Controller, RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC), Wifi SDN Controller, NOS, pWDM SDN Controller. Before Sterlite, Amit was Technical Manager at Netcracker, and developed the NEC's MANO & EMS for eNB, vCPE, EPC. Prior to working in Netcracker, he served as Product Manager at Tata Consultancy Services for 10 years. Some of the Major product development he has done are Nortel's CDMA OAM BSSM product. He started his career as a software engineer at TCS Ltd.

Networks have been built by static, large, vertically integrated boxes with monolithic codes and proprietary interfaces. These are expensive to procure and maintain and don’t allow flexibility to launch new services quickly using automation, open and software principles.

PODS resolves this by providing specific solutions to different business needs. PODS is Programmable, Open, Disaggregated Solution developed through a combined effort of open community, STL and its partners. Our customers have an option to buy certified solution specific PODS or get those customized.
